Wordpress 2.7 and random stuff… | 1st January, 2009

Just found time to update to the latest Wordpress 2.7. This version has may new features under the hood. With the revamped admin interface, nearly every task you do on your blog will take fewer clicks and be faster in 2.7 than it did in a previous version. Another neat feature is the new dashboard that you can arrange with drag and drop to put the things most important to you on top. A few other important features include QuickPress, comment threading, paging, and the ability to reply to comments from your dashboard, the ability to install any plugin directly from WordPress.org with a single click, and sticky posts. With all these cool new features, it’s time to update your wordpress installs. Here is a video of the new features which was posted on the wordpress blog.
Been tired with lots of exams all december. I was gifted an Apple iPod nano 4g for christmas. I love the design and the UI but being a GNU/Linux user who loves freedom, I’m trying hard to live with the heavy restrictions imposed by apple (WTF apple, do I need a credit card just to download album art in iTunes? ). I’ve also started learning python(from the core python programming book) and I’m finding it a lot easier when compared to C/C++. Also I shifted to KDEmod on my arch from gnome and I’m loving it. Some issues are still present like eating up memory after prolonged use, no hiding tray icons. Hopefully they will be ironed out in the new 4.2 which is due in an other 26 days. And gratz on getting a nano, maybe you should start hanging around the rockbox forums, waiting for news on their port for the 4g nano :p
